- The untrustworthy nature of man
WELP that's it, that's the big one. The untrustworthy nature of man. This refers not simply to the outside world of man, but to actual physical men in particular.
Men cannot be trusted. They are cruel. They have no loyalties. They are backstabbers, liars, cheaters, they will do what they can to take and hold power over others. Simply being a man is reason enough to look down on people. They will not see reason or take any order from another.
This is the very core belief of the Amazons. This is the reason they segregated themselves off from not only the world, but from anything male, for hundreds and thousands of years. And this is what Diana remembers now.
These are the teachings of her mother and sisters, that men are wicked and vile and should never be trusted, and she believes and understands all of that even without ever seeing one for herself. While there is a part of her who knows that to be unfair, she also knows that she's dealt with men in her other memories.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Well.
Diana simply will not trust men.
She won't go around blaming everything on men (it isn't a penis' fault that Deco exists, after all), but that doesn't mean she will harbor trust or reliance on anyone male. The exceptions here are to current Byzantium, but she'll still get snippier with the boys and trust is probably down to 90%.
Bbbbbasically dudes are gonna have to try 500% harder to get respect.
